September marks the annual Heritage Month in South Africa. On September, 11 the OWLAG community paused for a while to celebrate our cultural diversity. This day was used as an opportunity to express pride in our culture and origin.
The philosophy of “unity in diversity” was displayed through the myriad of traditional attires by our staff members. The catering team prepared different colourful cultural foods, ranging from mapone worms, chicken feet, koek sisters, and many more.
Our OWLAG girls selected and danced to the different kinds of South African music, ranging from Mgqashiyo and Isicathamiya, Afrikaans Music, they also performed Tswana, and Sesotho Dance. And Boy oh Boy did we see the talent from our girls and staff.
