With enthusiasm and great spirit, the girls participated in their annual Inter-House Athletics day at the Academy.
The level of competition and house pride was on full display the week before this exciting event. The Grade eights experienced their first OWLAG inter-house event and battled it out to see which house was best. House captains were also appointed and showed their excitement about leading their different houses to victory.
Despite the scorching temperatures in Henley-on-Klip, Mangau kept their enthusiasm leading to them taking the Spirit Cup for the day. Mangau’s consistency and determination stood them in good stead as they also went on to win the first-place trophy. Izindlovu had a good run but came short, winning the second-place trophy.
All in all, it was a fun day enjoyed by all.
